About

Hi there!

I love flowers. Real ones are nice, but fake ones make me smile too.

I get giddy every time I teach my middle school students about punctuation. How does one little mark change everything? Everything! Everything.

Don’t get me started on semicolons.

I love sitting by myself in a local coffee shop with a cup of Darjeeling tea, my Bible, and my computer. Getting to the shop before the ten o’clock Saturday crowd is always a bonus. But sometimes I stayed up too late on Friday night chatting with my single friends at a Bible study.

Writing nonfiction – writing straight from my heart to yours – is a favorite pastime. But I enjoy dabbling in poetry from time to time too. And one day, I’ll finish that fiction book about a forgotten princess and Bible smuggling and unexpected friendships.

I’m grateful for my six years of training at Pensacola Christian College. Somehow, the teachers there taught me how to teach, write, and always keep learning.

I’m grateful for my parents and my sister. They are always willing to answer their phones in rural Missouri when I call them from Cleveland, Ohio. And they love the Lord with all their hearts. I want to be just like them.
